Health IT Patient Safety Supplemental Item Set for Hospital SOPS
The SOPS® Health Information Technology (Health IT) Patient Safety Supplemental Item Set for hospitals was designed to be used in conjunction with the core SOPS Hospital Survey to help hospitals assess the extent to which their organization's culture is sensitive to how the use of health IT affects patient safety from the perspectives of providers and other staff working in their hospital. The 15 supplemental items may be added to the end of the Hospital Survey, just before the Background Questions.

Pilot Study Results
The Health IT Patient Safety Supplemental Item Set was administered to providers and staff in 44 hospitals in 2017. Pilot study results are available for just over 9,000 hospital respondents who completed the supplemental item set.
